Cool'tural Sun(y)day #choco #coffee #tea
After a morning interview at Ealing Broadway Premier Inn, a British budget hotel chain competing with Travelodge, I decided to explore this western neighbourhood of London ! Though it's zone 3 - out of 6 zones - I felt that the traffic was way more normal here!!! The population is still very multicultural but with a distinct majority of Polish people. In fact, Poles are the third largest foreign-born community in the UK after Irish and Indians.
So...I was walking through Ealing and stumbled into a modest open air shopping center...
No money so No shopping :( and I continued to stroll around... when suddenly, a man with a microphone started talking about chocolate... Yummmm ...Unconsciously, I saw myself (or maybe my stomach) heading to the tent where he was giving talks with anecdotes about chocolate, coffee and tea like these :
- 'Suck it dont chew it!' did this man said... He was trying to tell the assembly how to eat dark chocolate and demonstrate that by sucking the 70% cocoa piece, it tastes as sweet as Cadbury Dairy Milk (a flagship milk chocolate bar in the UK)
- Guess how many coffee beans you need to make your morning cup ? (after reading the correct answer you will never see coffee as a cheap product !)
- Did you know the origin of the Tea Break ? - During the colonial time, slaves and workers were given a cup of tea in the afternoon/early evening break to regain energy thanks to its caffeine component.
