I'm exhausted from this day out... Woke up early. Laced my sneakers. Grabbed a bottle of water.
Finishing point : Buckingham Palace
Distance covered : 14 miles
Time target : 2h 04min
Well, that's also the time of 2015 London Marathon elite man winner - the Kenyan Eliud Kipchogue. Contrary to me, he ran 26 miles in the Eastern part of London (Greenwich, Tower Bridge, etc). Two other compatriots well-recognised on the last Olympic Games, Wilson Kipsang and Dennis Kimetto (holding the world record) took over the podium finishing second and third respectively. For women, the podium was more yellow and green-coloured as the first and third step were climbed by two Ethiopian training partners. Another moving moment was the last race of Paula Radcliff, a British icon in marathon as she won this emblematic London race 3 times and broke the record in 2003. Besides, loads of celebrities were present to tweet their achievement like David Beckam or Andy Murray. Girls, there was a lot to see even Prince Harry awarding the athletes with a medal and kiss haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
No need to pay for this event and what ambiance at the Mall, the finishing line for these 37 800 participants!
* The video is blurry and you can't spot me but I was on the crowd near the Victoria Memorial *
