A typical day at work #TourOperating

A month left and at this stage I can tell you what is a typical day at Axis and Globe :

- 8:50 : Arriving at the office. Turning on the computer (while making the first coffee of the day...).

- 9:00 : Opening the outlook email box and discovering several things : from hotels replying to offer or decline availability to clients requesting additional attractions, it's also possible to have customer complaints asking for refund because the food was cold, for example !

- 10:30 : Let's have another dose of caffeine in order to take the phone and chase the travel agencies to which we offered an option that is expiring on the day...

- 12:00 or 13:00 : 'Who wants to go on lunch now ?'...In fact, someone has to stay at the office to pick up the phone! So we take turns.

- 14:00 : Receiving new requests for 2016 such as school groups preparing their trip to the capital or a group of foreign adults wishing to tour the UK by exploring both the natural heritage of Scotland (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, etc) and the cultural effervescence of England (London, Brighton, Kent, etc).

- 15:30 : Tea o'clock. A hot beverage and biscuits (It's OK... there is no point to stress about your bikini body in this rainy country hahaha)

- 16:00 : Preparing the tickets (either for a theatre or travelcards) to deliver to a hotel/hostel in central London. Jumping on a train to the destination.

- 17:30 : 'See you tomorrow!'... end of the day.
